Police launch hunt for pair who fled after Bentley crash in Barnet left child critically injured

A 12-year-old girl in a Vauxhall Astra suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Police are hunting for two people after a Bentley was involved in a serious crash in north London which left a girl with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to the collision between a Vauxhall Astra and Bentley Continental in Barnet at 10.12pm on Saturday.

A 12-year-old girl in the first car suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

She remains in a life-threatening condition.

Her family are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

The occupants of the Bentley left the scene of the crash on foot before police arrived. They are both thought to have been males.

Police said the car had not been reported lost or stolen.

Detectives from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for any witnesses, and anyone with dash cam or mobile phone footage, to contact them by calling 101 and providing reference number CAD 7888 20AUG22.
